My band features Andy Thompson on bass and Bob Kessels on drums. Andy has been playing with me for over two and a half years, while Bob joined us about four months ago. I also play alongside Bob in another project called Hella Morgan, which is how we got to know each other — we first met at AMP Studios in New Cross.

I’m really happy with this current lineup. It’s a tight, talented group, and I feel genuinely lucky to work with musicians who can write, record, and perform live with me.

Musical Influences

My earliest musical inspiration came from heavy music, but I started writing songs when I was just seven years old. I was drawn to romantic and emotional songwriting, especially love songs — one track that really left a mark on me was Annie Lennox’s “Love Song for a Vampire”.

From there, my taste evolved into grunge, which hit just as I was coming of age. That led naturally into a love for heavy metal, and eventually into blues, folk, gothic subgenres, punk, and hardcore. If the music’s good, I’m into it — genre doesn’t matter.

I’ve also studied classical, folk, and jazz, and I’ve been part of a wide range of bands over the years. That diversity continues to shape my sound.

Beyond the Music

In addition to performing, I’m a session guitar player and a guitar teacher. I’ve always considered art as part of my musical identity — I studied painting as well, and visual art continues to inspire the music I write and perform.

London Roots

I’m a South Londoner through and through. I grew up in the southwest and went on to study at Goldsmiths in New Cross, where I’ve stayed ever since — apart from a four-year stint in Copenhagen. London has always been home, and its creative energy is a big part of who I am.

Musical Journey

My musical background is rooted in being a session guitarist and teacher. Through my teens and early twenties, I played in countless bands before transitioning into more touring work around the age of 24.

A big influence on my early career came from working with my sister, Misty Miller, who was signed at a young age. I played gigs and helped out in the studio, which gave me valuable experience and exposure.

While I’ve spent most of my time supporting others, I’ve always written and performed my own music, and I’m excited to finally be sharing it with a wider audience.
